NACG’s Mining division is currently seeking a Construction Superintendent with experience in heavy civil road and earthworks construction for the Fort McMurray area. The successful applicant will be accountable the for the construction planning and scheduling and all of the field aspects of projects, including the delegation of work to field staff, contractors and trades people. You must have a proven track record with the ability to develop positive relationships with internal and external customers.

- Overall responsibility for the planning, scheduling , execution and project completion
- Ensuring that the projects meet or exceed the NACG and client safety requirements.
- Site responsibility for on time on budget construction
- Review maintain and update the construction schedule and ensure milestone and completion dates are met
- Management of staff and a unionized work force
- Ensure company vehicles and equipment on the project are properly cared for, kept in good working order and put to optimum use
- Insure and enforce compliance to all company, client and legislated Safety policies and procedures.
- Adhere to project, company environmental considerations.
- Coordinate mobilization/demobilization of resources
- Identify surplus equipment and labour resources
- Review bids for extra work and provide feedback
- Follow KPIs
- Manager day to day labour relation issues
- Identify any scope changes
