The Business Solutions Manager – HR/Payroll will be responsible for the delivery of new functionality (applications, reporting and process improvement) to the HR Business Unit. This will require developing a strong, deep business understanding, the ability to communication to both business and technical personnel, and maintaining a good working relationship with HR and IT Business Unit leaders. They will be responsible for report development, developing application and report specifications, application testing, basic client training, a degree of organizational change management, and process mapping. Success in this position is based on the Business Solutions Manager’s ability to coordinate, analyze and make recommendations for various HR/Payroll projects.

- Works with the HR/Payroll to Identify strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement;
- Develops, reviews, edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solutions;
- Develops functional specifications and systems design specifications for HR/Payroll and IT engagements;
- Champions project standards and communicates them across the HR Business unit;
- Understands the components of running a fiscally successful project;
- Leads report development efforts; Ensures that all project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
- Investigate new software releases and assess unused functionality in existing releases;
- Ensure timelines are achieved;
- Delivers informative, well organized presentations;
- Possesses understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design;
- Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving Business issues;
- Pushes creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices;

- 10 years Business Analyst experience
- Experience with Project Management and Project Controls specifically JDE Enterprise 1
- JDE Module experience in HR/Payroll, Operations, AP, AR, Inventory, Procurement, Service Billing, Fixed Assets, Equipment and other modules.
- Construction Experience is an Asset
- Post secondary education relating to business and/or computer science.
- Experience will be considered as a substitute for Education.
