| Responsibilities: |
- Develop estimates within the respective functional disciplines.
- Prepare conceptual and detailed estimates based on understanding of engineering documentation, specification and drawings as well as construction, risk evaluation and material take off techniques.
- Provide services, procedures and methods for the timely and accurate response to client, project management, departmental and company requirements.
- Develop various types of estimates for proposals including establishing the estimating scope of work, preparing of the estimate methodology and bases of estimate as well as producing the overall estimate schedule identifying all deliverables and interfaces with other disciplines.
- Work within the key parameters associated with the overall quality and accuracy of the estimate such as: equipment and material pricing guidelines, material take-off allowances, escalation philosophy, site labour productivity factors.
- Aid in assembly of final estimate packages, conduct detail analysis of completed estimates including benchmarking against similar completed projects and reconciliation of completed estimates to prior estimates.
- Participate in the estimate review presentation to both senior management as well as the client's senior project management.
- Analyze job actual vs. bid and modify estimate library for future bids in order to maintain a working reference of best practices.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to support bid development (incl. constructability/budget development).
- Participate in bid reviews.
- Communicate Resource And Production Plan specifics to operations and all key support departments (supply chain, finance, HR, IT) upon contract execution.
- Participate in the execution of estimate turnover to operations.
- Receive sign off and approval of all bid items from Operations prior to bid submission.

| Qualifications: |
- Engineering degree, technical degree or equivalent experience related to estimating.
- Minimum one year estimating experience.
- Industrial construction and/or mining experience preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of cost estimating processes and procedures.
- Strong estimating and analytical skills.
- Excellent job costing and report writing skills.
- trong attention to detail.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure.
