Position Scope

Successful candidate will report directly ASN Constructors Management and be responsible for the management of all ASN Constructors’ contracts, subcontracts and commercial claims from NTP through project completion. The successful candidate will manage and drive the contract and commercial management aspects of all the details below effectively.


  • Ensure the identification of opportunities to minimize contract risk and plan commercial risk mitigation strategies
  • Develop, implement and ensure compliance of appropriate strategic commercial approach, based on contract type and/or construction delivery method
  • Provide on-demand contractual clarifications / position statements to project team members as required
  • Provide support and analysis on all customer, JV/Partner, and sub-contractor contract-related commercial impacts and risks, to or from ASN Constructors (For example – contract negotiation/formation, placing customer on notice for delays/impacts, contract changes/credits, or defending against assertions/claims.)
  • Support Project Managers with proper negotiation and management of change orders to maximize returns and pass-through specific claims with entitlement to subcontractors
  • Assist operations teams with claims preparation support and disputes handling in accordance with the contract provisions and their interpretation
  • Assist project operation with the management of contractual claims for time and money, both affirmative and defensive with both customers and subcontractors
  • Drafting and/or reviewing key project correspondence with regard to commercial content, contract interpretation and potential claims
  • Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with established company policy. As appropriate, contribute to or influence company policies
  • Assist in the definition and enforcement of contract management and claims processes, procedures, guidelines, forms and templates
  • Identify and manage project commercial and contracting risks and coordinate mitigation measures and contractual insurance requirements
  • Handle on-going issue and change management according to company policy to maximize early identification and settlement and minimize claims and disputes
  • Provide commercial assessment of terms and conditions, risks, and assumptions for pre-construction agreements during bid phase


  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in relatable field required
  • Juris Doctorate Degree not required but will be given strong consideration
  • Minimum 3-5-years’ experience in construction industry contracts of which at least 3-years was in contract & commercial roles in complex, large scale construction industry practice
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of managing and negotiation of contracts for medium to large-scale design/build or EPC projects
