Position Scope

Dene North Site Services is looking for a Project Coordinator.  The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Project Manager in the planning, development and coordination of maintenance support projects in the Fort McMurray Alberta area. 


You must be well-organized and favour safety above everything else.


Schedule: 5 x 2 - 10 hours or 10x4 - 10 hours


$2500/mo LOA provided for accommodations.




  • Work with the team to coordinate schedule costs and quality of maintenance support projects
  • Schedule fleet maintenance activities, manage procurement and organize resources
  • Track costs and manage budget
  • Coordinate logistics
  • Ad Hoc duties as required


  • Degree in Engineering, Business or other relevant field preferred
  • Mining or Civil Engineering or Technical degrees are preferred
  • Excellent computer skills including excel and other Microsoft packages
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have field experience with heavy civil work
  • Must be legally allowed to work in Canada
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must provide a current driver's abstract
  • Must comply with NACG's Pre-Employment testing



All successful candidates must:

  1. Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
  2. Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  3. Have experience as requested as mentioned above
  4. Subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
  5. Disclose COVID-19 vaccination status:
    • Fully immunized individuals must provide government issued proof of vaccination to be exempt from site testing requirements
    • Individuals not fully immunized may be subject to site COVID-19 testing requirements and associated costs
  6. Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
    • Breath Alcohol Test
    • Urine Drug Test
    • Fitness-to-Work Assessment
    • Audiometric Testing
    • Vision Screening

Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.


All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:

  1. CSO or BSO Certification
  2. CSTS Certification and OSSA Regional only required if candidate does not have the above certification
  3. Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  4. Copy of recent Driver’s Abstract
  5. VOID cheque/direct deposit form

Once dispatched the following processes will occur:

  1. Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre-employment testing
  2. An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
  3. After all results are received by NACG candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site specific details.

Please note the entire On-boarding process can take anywhere from 3-8 business days.
