Position Scope

This position is responsible for all aspects of equipment reporting, fleet/rate performance management as well as coordination of equipment rentals.


Equipment Reporting and Analysis

  • Maintain, update and distribute recurring count, utilization and activity reports.
  • Maintain equipment rate and shop performance analytical spreadsheets and databases and provide analysis as required

Equipment Setup and Master File Maintenance

  • Review master information on equipment set up to ensure all relevant data (master data, meter readings, internal rates) is captured correctly.
  • Monitor transactional data to ensure inputs (operating and meter hours, maintenance costs, equipment transfers) are accurate and timely.

Equipment/Fleet Standards

  • Maintain equipment branding standards, ensure inventory of decals, light boxes maintained and distributed as required.
  • Maintain fleet information and specification files and folders.
  • Maintain fleet specifications and site-specific outfitting requirements for equipment purchases.
  • Maintain analytical templates for valuation analysis.

Equipment Rentals Co-ordination

  • Execute the supply and delivery of rental equipment to support operational demands.
  • Work with sites/vendors to receive and return equipment.
  • Ensure rented equipment records are maintained such that return charges are minimized and any credits for down time, or NACG work done is received.
  • Work with sites to return underutilized equipment, as necessary.

External Rentals Co-ordination

  • Work with customers to deliver and return equipment.
  • Work with operations/customers to ensure records are maintained for timely invoicing of monthly charges.


  • Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • Experience with Supply Chain, Purchasing and Logistics an asset.
  • Minimum of three years’ relevant analysis and costing experience.
  • Industrial construction or mining industry experience preferred.
  • ERP System and large data set management (JD Edwards preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel
  • Appreciation or knowledge of operation and maintenance of equipment
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to implement new systems and processes to improve efficiencies and bottlenecks
  • Practical accounting knowledge


  1. Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
  2. Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  3. Have experience as requested as mentioned above
  4. Disclose COVID-19 vaccination status:
    • Fully immunized individuals must provide government issued proof of vaccination to be exempt from site testing requirements
    • Individuals not fully immunized may be subject to site COVID-19 testing requirements and associated costs
  5. Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
    • Breath Alcohol Test
    • Urine Drug Test
