Position Scope

NACG is seeking a Warehouse Receiver to join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area.

 

For this role, NACG offers a combined rate of up to $51.29/hour as well as room for growth!

 

Where You’ll Be Working

  • Site: Syncrude Aurora 
  • Schedule: 14 x14, 12-hour days (paid for 11.5 hours).
  • Accommodations: Camp is not provided.
  • Transportation: Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site.
  • Overtime: Provided after 8 hours in a day or 44 hours in a week.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Obtain quotes from various vendors
  • Completing requisitions to send to buys for a PO to be issued
  • Accurate receiving and placing of all inventoried stock on warehouse shelves
  • Selecting parts and materials for jobs and ensuring accurate quantity and type of part and materials are received and issued
  • Complete monthly reporting on inventory and parts
  • Ensure adherence to safety rules, government regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Ensure the warehouse is a safe work environment and all shipping and receiving processes and procedures are adhered to
  • Ensure high standard of customer services in the areas of order taking and customer problem solving
  • Record all incoming shipments, checking shipments against purchase orders and verifying contents of shipment against packing slip
  • Enter all receiving (Packing Slips), and transfers into JDE inventory management system
  • Identify damaged goods and initiate damage claims as per our policies and procedures
  • Fill internal customer orders, deliver, and stage items to designated locations
  • Maintain good housekeeping and orderliness in the warehouse and in the receiving area
  • Prepare shipping and TDG documents when required
  • Identify and prepare parts and core returns to suppliers, as per our return procedures
  • Perform physical inventory counts as determined within the warehouse policy and complete daily cycle counting as required or yearly wall to wall inventory count 
  • Provide effective solutions and procedures to ensure continuous improvement and the optimal performance targets are achieved
  • Communicate with Director to plan and coordinate material deliveries to meet shop production plan

 

Qualifications

What Makes You the ONE

  • Two years warehouse materials handling experience in a distribution setting or similar environment
  • Experience operating Forklifts and Loaders
  • Prior experience in parts pickup
  • Prior experience using an inventory management system
  • Industrial construction and/or mining experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Have a valid Class 5 License
  • Possession of a materials handling, or parts ticket certification is an asset
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), specifically JDE experience is an asset
  • Attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, mathematical and sound decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated maturity with the ability to self-manage, organize, prioritize, and interact well with others/team, strong team player
  • Ability to work with people of all levels within the organization
  • Strong customer services skills, strong work ethic and a positive attitude; ability to adapt to change
  • A safety-first attitude
  • Attentive and possess strong listening skills
  • High school diploma, GED, and/or post-secondary education is considered an asset.
  • Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
  • CSO Certification

 

Summary

If you are chosen to move forward in our hiring process for a site-based role, you will be asked to provide the following:

  1. Class 5 Driver’s License ability to provide a recent Driver’s Abstract
  2. Valid CSO
  3. Silica Awareness 
  4. Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness
  5. Be subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
  6. Undergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing:
    • Breath Alcohol Test
    • Urine Drug Test
    • Fitness-to-Work Health Assessment
    • Audiometric Testing
    • Vision Screening

Once dispatched the following processes will occur:

  1. Will receive a call to set up all required pre-employment testing
  2. An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
  3. After all results and paperwork are received, candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site-specific details.

Please note: The onboarding process can take anywhere from 3-8 business days.
