NACG is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented scheduler to support project scheduling and controls for a major civil construction project in the Fort McMurray area. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with strong experience in construction management, scheduling, and project analytics. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize project schedule using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project milestones and overall timelines.
  • Collaborate with project managers and field teams to anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Implement and oversee project control systems to track progress, costs, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor variances and propose corrective actions to maintain project efficiency.
  • Assist in resource loading for materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and project optimization.
  • Generate reports on project performance, schedule adherence, and cost efficiency.

 

Qualifications

Work Experience:

    • 3-5 years of experience related to scheduling, project analytics and controls on civil construction projects. 
    • Extensive knowledge of Primavera.
    • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines and respond to emerging and changing priorities.
    • Strong understanding of the complexities involved in scheduling earthworks activities on large-scale construction projects.

If you are chosen to move forward in our hiring process for our Acheson Head Office, you will be scheduled to undergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing:

  1. Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and ability to provide a recent Driver’s Abstract
  2. Valid CSO
  3. Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness (including Bear Awareness)
  4. Be subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
  5. Undergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing:
    • Breath Alcohol Test
    • Urine Drug Test
    • Fitness-to-Work Health Assessment
    • Audiometric Testing
    • Vision Screening
