Apprentice HET

This is a shop based position at our Suncor facility, just outside Fort McMurray. Schedule is 14x14 and camp accommodations are NOT provided.

• We are looking for 2nd/3rd year apprentices with experience in the oilsands/Mining industry. 

• Experience working with mining production equipment or Industrial support equipment required

• Skidsteer and forklit experience an asset

All successful candidates must:

1. Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
2. Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
3. Have experience as requested as mentioned above
4. Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
5. Breath Alcohol Test
6. Urine Drug Test
7. Fitness-to-Work Assessment
8. Audiometric Testing
9. Vision Screening
10. Criminal Record Check

Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.

All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:

1. OSSA or OSSA (BSO) Certification
2. CSTS Certification
3. Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
4. Copy of recent Driver’s Abstract
5. VOID cheque/direct deposit form

Once dispatched the following processes will occur:

1. Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre-employment testing
2. An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
3. After all results are received by NACG candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site specific details.

Please note the entire On-boarding process can take anywhere from 3-8 business days.
