Position Scope

We are seeking a Recruitment Advisor to support our Human Resources team.

 

As a member of the human resources team, the Recruitment Advisor will be focused on supporting the  Company’s recruitment needs, with a primary focus on full-cycle recruitment support to the business, assisting with union and non-union recruitment and onboarding activities, and responding to general human-resources related inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with, and take direction from Recruitment Advisors and hiring managers to fill entry level and individual contributor level roles by:
    • Developing qualified candidate pool by sourcing, identifying and recruiting candidates to fill current and upcoming job openings across the business 
    • Reviewing and evaluating candidates’ work history, education training and other qualifications to meet the Company’s qualifications
    • Identifying, source and present qualified candidates to the hiring manager to fill current and upcoming openings by determining best method(s) for recruitin
    • Coordinating the selection and hiring process, including appropriate paperwork, from application to hire
  • Develop an understanding of current and future manpower needs, research best practices and emerging trends and anticipate and react to shortages
  • Recommend the design and place strategy for employment advertisements, job postings, follow-up on employee referrals, research organizations or retain search firms as appropriate
  • Act as key liaison between recruiting team and business on internal transfers, ES Admin interaction and ATS at an elevated responsibility level from Recruitment Coordinator
  • Ensure policies and practices are followed and thoroughly explained to candidates and hiring managers as per NACG hiring policies and guidelines
  • Explain job duties/responsibilities, compensation and benefit programs, work schedule or special conditions, career and advancement opportunities and related information
  • Conduct new hire orientations
  • Other duties as assigned

Summary

If you are chosen to move forward in our hiring process for our Acheson Head Office, you will be scheduled to undergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing:

  • Reference and/or Background check including Criminal Record Check
