Position Scope

This position is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation and maintenance of system and business processes, particularly as they relate to the JD Edwards (JDE) enterprise resourcing process (ERP) system, for the assigned business areas of Accounts Receivable, Billing and Accounts Payable, ensuring continued improvement and efficiency of service deliverables, achievement of performance targets and optimizing system functionality.




Oversee business area system and business process improvement and efficiency

  • Develop in depth expertise in the JDE modules and business processes as it relates to the assigned business areas
  • Understand the business issues and data challenges of the business area
  • Establish and maintain a strong customer service and support attitude for all internal customers
  • Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of effective and efficient system and business processes as it relates to the assigned business areas
  • Identify business area improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with Business Process Owners, IT and subject matter experts, on JDE system and process improvement implementations
  • Provide analytical expertise to process improvements initiatives, and lead on effective solutions
  • Investigate and analyze proposed process changes and their impact on business and technical aspects of the systems and interrelationships
  • Develop and lead implementation strategies for process improvements in the assigned areas
  • Collaborate with the pertinent business areas on training requirements
  • Provide JDE system user training to the staff of the assigned business areas
  • Support business area system users with their suggestions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of system functionality


Oversee business area reports and key performance indicators (KPI’s), and assist in implementation and enforcement of related procedures

  • Provide analytical expertise for reporting requirements within the assigned business area
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on building reports
  • Lead effective solutions and development of KPI’s that ensures continuous improvement and that optimal service deliverables and performance targets are achieved.


Organize and maintain business area system configuration, system and business processes and training materials, and all related documentation

  • Lead the documentation and drafting of processes and prepare system user guides and manuals for the assigned business area
  • Assist in the definition, development, implementation and management of JDE master files
  • Recommend and process updates to JDE as required.
  • Lead configuration, testing and quality assurance (QA) of JDE processes (for example, develop test scripts)
  • Deliver and coordinate, and document and communicate, established configuration and processes


  • Two years practical experience working in the JD Edwards environment.
  • Minimum two years of business related experience in an Accounting. Financial or related position.
  • Experience in developing processes and training materials to support the consistent and effective use of business systems
  • Experience performing analysis to identify areas for improvement in processes and system configuration
  • Strong business writing skills and documentation.
  • Minimum two year post-secondary education or equivalent experience related to Business, Accounting, or Information Technology.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence others in a positive manner.

  • Strong conceptual skills
  • Ability to work within stringent timelines.
  • Proficient in MS office and an ERP system, knowledge of JDE preferred
  • Well-developed skills in organizing, planning, and taking initiative

  • Good business writing and documentation skills
